Return to School Letter 2021-22

While we recognize that the COVID 19 Pandemic continues to impact our school environment, it is our objective to make the return to school as smooth as possible. As we continue to follow the DOH/PDE/CDC mandates placed on school districts, we make every effort to keep you informed. The Southern Huntingdon County School District will operate on a full in-person schedule beginning August
25th, 2021.

SHCSD Internet Outage

SHCSD currently is experiencing an internet outage which prevents access to school gmail, google classroom, and other district-hosted sites.  Our provider is working to restore service as soon as possible.  The district will adjust attendance accordingly and teachers will work with students on extending deadlines.

Sept. 1, 2021 - Early Dismissal

Due to potential flooding, the SHCSD is dismissing at 11:45am tomorrow, September 1, 2021. All afternoon and evening activities are cancelled.

Picture Day for the HS/MS

Picture Day for the HS/MS will be September 1st. Any SHC HS/MS ONLINE Rocket Academy students can get their pictures done the same day at 11:30 am.

Student Drivers: Parking Applications are Ready!

Student Drivers: Parking applications are ready to be picked up in the main office for the 2021/2022 school year. Please pick one up now and return it to the main office if you plan on driving this upcoming school year.

SHCSD Statement on the Opening of School

Statement:  Southern Huntingdon County School District will open on August 25th. Our hs/ms back to school night is scheduled for August 24th from 5:00 P.M.-7:00 P.M.  The elementary back to school night for all buildings is scheduled for August 25th from 5:00 P.M.-7:00 P.M. Masking is optional in all facilities and mandatory on school buses.

Back to School Bash Fundraiser for the Fellman Family

Sunday is our Back to School Bash Fundraiser for the Fellman Family. (Crist is our Public Health and Safety Instructor. His Grandson is in Pittsburg for a Bone Marrow transplant to fight MLD a fatal genetic disorder.)

I would like to ask 2 favors.

First, Can you please share this flyer on your school's social media platforms?

Second, I am looking for volunteers to take a 15-minute time slot in our dunk tank. Anyone that would be interested, PLEASE let me know we would be happy to have you!!!
