Meet the Teacher
Hello! 2020-2021 will be my 5th year in the district. I live in the district on a small farm with sheep, chickens, ducks, geese, dogs, and cats. It's more like a zoo! I have three children. The oldest is a cybersecurity specialist for the military. My daughter starts Penn State Altoona campus this fall, studying animal science and veterinary medicine. My youngest is a sophomore here at Southern. My husband and I are very happy to be here in Huntingdon county!
I am looking forward to seeing students again next month. Please refer to the parent letter, attached to this page, for details. Please look at my supply list page to see what you should bring to class. In my syllabus, I will outline my grading system and detail the three main areas of study in 7th grade English: writing, grammar, and vocabulary. Also, there is a syllabus for 6th-grade Introduction to Computer Skills (keyboarding). I am excited to be teaching this class for the first time this year.
Always feel comfortable contacting me, either by phone or by email. I believe that parent involvement is the number one indicator of student success. This includes ensuring that your child is safe, well-rested, well-nourished, and well-hydrated. These are the students who tend to reach their highest potential. If I can be of any help at all, please contact me.
Thank you and enjoy the rest of the summer! I will see you soon.
