Meet the Teacher
Hi, I am a high school math teacher at Southern Huntingdon County High School. I graduated from Shippensburg High School and Shippensburg University where I earned a B.S. degree in Mathematics. After graduation, I moved to New York and worked as a daily and long term substitute in the surrounding school districts. Eventually, I transitioned to the private sector where I worked as a full time bookkeeper for a local company. I returned to teaching in 2008. Currently, my classes include Introduction to Algebra, Algebra Concepts, Algebra 1B, Algebra 1A, and Consumer Math. I am also class advisor for the SHC class of 2023.
When not in school, I enjoy spending time with my husband and 4 children. I love cheering them on in all of their activities. When I find free time, you can find me knitting, gardening, reading, and taking care of my personal zoo including: a dog, 3 cats, a turtle, and a tarantula.
Google classroom will be used for remote learning. The days your child has remote learning they will need to check google classroom for their assignments. Completion of assignments and notes will be the mode of monitoring attendance and will count toward their grade.
Group 2 students will need to access this web page under 8/31 assignment tab to get their work for Monday. If a student will not have internet access on that day, please have them see me Tuesday to arrange make-up work.
