Learning Support Reading Grade 7

Hi Group 2 students, Group 1 students I'll see you Monday !

I am looking forward to seeing you on Tuesday September 1st.  For Monday August 31st, could you please get out a piece of paper and write a 5 sentence paragraph.  Please answer this question, " What was your favorite part of Summer Vacation?"  Please bring to  school with you on Tuesday.  

 

 

Learning Support Reading Class

The purpose of this course to to improve the reading skills of students who have learning disabilities  in the areas of reading comprehension and reading fluency.  These students will have an Individualized Education Plan ( IEP).   Students in this class will work on skills that will prepare them to take the PSSA test as well as to be successful in there regular education classes.  

Learning Objectives

Students will improve their reading comprehension by reading various genres of fiction, non - fiction, informational texts.  

Students will improve their reading fluency by reading aloud weekly in class.  

Students will work toward understanding the reading literacy terms that are required to understand for the PSSA tests.
